KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30:  Kuwait club conceded its lead in the Zain Premier League to Al-Arabi following a 2-2 draw against Salmiya club in the 12th round on Saturday. Al-Arabi now sits atop the league with 29 points, with Al-Qadisiyah in second place at 28 points, and Kuwait club in third with 27 points. Meanwhile, Al-Salmiya has climbed to fifth place with 16 points.

In the first half, the Kuwait club took the lead with two goals – the first from Tunisian Taha Al-Khanisi via a penalty kick in the 38th minute, and the second from Egyptian Amr Abdel Fattah in extra time (45 + 3). However, the hosts staged a comeback in the second half, securing a draw with goals from Ghanaian Abudu Issaka in the 66th minute and Badr Gamal in the 78th minute.

In another match today, Al-Nasr maintained its fourth position in the league standings by securing a victory over Al-Shabab with a lone goal at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium. With this win, Al Nasr raised its points to 20, while Al Shabab remains in eighth place with 11 points. Libyan Moatasem Al-Lafi netted the decisive goal in the 71st minute of the match.
