KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: On Monday, Al-Arabi Football Club secured a victory over Al-Fahaheel with a score of 2-1, while Al-Shabab emerged triumphant against Kazma with a solitary goal in the 14th round of the local Premier League (Zain League).

At the Alsadaqat al salam Stadium, Al-Arabi clinched three points, benefiting from two goals by Al-Fahaheel player Ahmed Al-Nasr, who inadvertently scored an own goal in the 11th minute. Additionally, Abdul Rahman Al-Sharhan, with a well-executed shot, netted a goal in the 54th minute. Al-Fahaheel managed to narrow the score gap by scoring their only goal through professional William Bruce in the 88th minute. This victory brought Al-Arabi to 33 points, securing second place on goal difference behind leaders Kuwait. Meanwhile, Al-Fahaheel remained in seventh place with 15 points.

In another match at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium, Al-Shabab, aiming to climb from the lower positions, achieved a crucial victory over Kazma with a goal from professional Ibrahima Gueye in the 38th minute, courtesy of a shot from outside the penalty area. Al-Shabab's win elevated their score to 14 points, placing them in eighth position, 7 points clear of the relegation places. Kazma maintained its position in fifth place with 17 points.

The round will conclude on Tuesday with a match between Al Salmiya, currently in sixth place with 17 points, and Al Jahra, positioned at the bottom of the standings with only two points.
