Brazilian Carlos Alberto

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 8: Al-Arabi Club has announced the signing of two new professional players: Brazilian Carlos Alberto, known as "Jaco," and Egyptian Abdelrahman Khaled. With these additions, the team now has six foreign players for the upcoming season. These players include Nigerian Anabo Ayoala, Algerians Ahmed Khaldi and Sofiane Bouchar, Moroccan Hamza Khaba, and the newly signed Jaco and Khaled.

It is anticipated that Al-Arabi will "medically withdraw" Moroccan Hamza Khaba from the team's roster, as the player has traveled to Germany for a treatment program following a muscle injury sustained during the team's camp in Turkey earlier this week, according to a club source.

Al-Arabi has confirmed that Khaba will be sidelined for 30 days, causing him to miss the first three rounds of the Zain Premier League. Additionally, reports have surfaced about Khaba's interest in leaving Al-Arabi this season in pursuit of a new professional opportunity, particularly after receiving multiple offers this summer.

Jaco, 29, is a versatile striker with extensive professional experience, particularly in the Gulf region, having played for clubs such as Riffa and Al-Shabab in Bahrain, and Al-Taawoun and Masfout in the UAE. Khaled, 28, is a midfielder who has played for several Egyptian clubs, including Haras El-Hodoud, Aswan, and El-Mokawloon El-Arab.
