BANGKOK, June 29: Hamza Al-Behbahani continued his ascent to international prominence with a technical knockout victory over Pakistani boxer Abi Jozi Khan in their heavyweight (90 kg) bout last weekend in Bangkok, Thailand. The fight was part of the world championship organized by the World Boxing Council for Professionals (WBC). Al-Behbahani dominated the fight from the first round until the technical knockout concluded the match. Expressing his joy, Al-Behbahani said, “I dedicate this victory to the honorable political leadership. I hope to continue this journey, rise in the world rankings, and compete for world titles to raise the Kuwaiti flag high in professional boxing, which receives significant attention and follow-up globally.”

Al-Behbahani also praised Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, describing him as the primary supporter of professional boxing in Kuwait. He highlighted Sheikh Mubarak’s dedication to overcoming obstacles and his generous patronage, which motivated them to continue achieving success.
