TASHKENT, Jan 15: Hanan Al-Hardan, a member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association and head of the delegation for the Kuwait women's futsal team in the Asian Cup qualifiers held in Uzbekistan, emphasized that women’s football in Kuwait is undergoing a significant transitional phase. She acknowledged the challenges faced by the women's Blue team, describing them as difficult but not insurmountable.

Al-Hardan expressed her pride and satisfaction with the players' performance, which has garnered widespread praise from other teams participating in the qualifiers. She highlighted the notable improvement in the team's performance, despite its recent loss, crediting the efforts of the technical, administrative, and medical staff.

She pointed out that some people focus solely on results without considering the challenges the team has faced, particularly the short preparation period of only one month. Limited time also restricted the number of friendly matches, as the priority was to avoid player injuries. Al-Hardan noted that the improvement in the Kuwaiti futsal team's global ranking is a promising sign of progress.

She expressed optimism for further advancements, attributing the team's growth to the support provided by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Youssef Al-Sabah, as well as other board members and the Public Authority for Sports.
