RIYADH, Aug 12: The Saudi Super Cup, featuring Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, Al-Nasr, and Al-Taawoun, will be held from August 13 to 17. The semi-finals will commence today with Al-Hilal facing Al-Ahli, while tomorrow will see Al-Nasr take on Al-Taawoun. The final will be played on August 17 at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz City Stadium.

Al-Nasr's recent pre-season tour in Spain and Portugal yielded disappointing results, with only one win from a total of six friendlies. The team recorded three draws and three losses. They secured a 1-0 victory against Portugal’s Maritimo but struggled in other matches, including draws with Loletano and Varense, and losses to Portimonense, Granada, and Porto.

Under the guidance of Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, Al-Hilal achieved a historic treble last season, winning the league, Super Cup, and the King's Cup. In their Austrian camp, they played six friendlies, starting with a 6-0 victory over Boeststadt, followed by wins against Al-Arabi and Italian teams Como and Udinese, and losses to Sundowns and Al-Duhail. They returned to Riyadh with a 3-1 win over Al-Najma.

Al-Ahli's pre-season included five friendly matches, starting with a 1-0 win over Hungary’s Obistejsz. They continued with victories against Blades Linz and Al-Gharafa, a 2-0 win over Al-Riyadh, and a 3-3 draw with Graz of Austria. With new Argentine coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena, Al-Taawoun played three friendly matches in preparation for the season.
