RIYADH, April 3: Riyadh will be the stage for a thrilling Saudi derby between Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr in the 26th round of the Saudi Professional League. The highly anticipated match will take place at Al-Zaeem Stadium, the home ground of Al-Hilal.

Currently in second place with 57 points, Al-Hilal is six points behind third-placed Al-Nassr, with Al-Ittihad leading the standings at 61 points. This clash is crucial for Al-Hilal to keep its title hopes alive, as it aims to stay within reach of Al-Ittihad, while Al-Nassr is determined to close the gap on the league leaders.

Historically, April has been a challenging month for Al-Nassr when facing Al-Hilal ever since the professional league system was introduced in the 2008-2009 season. Al-Nassr has failed to secure a win in this fixture during this month, with Al-Hilal recording five victories and two draws across seven encounters.

Their most recent meeting in April 2024 saw Al-Hilal emerge victorious with a 2-1 win in the Saudi Super Cup. Over the years, Al-Hilal has netted 13 goals in April matches against Al-Nassr, while the latter has managed only five goals, failing to secure a win in any of the last 17 years.

In another exciting encounter, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli will face off in the Jeddah derby. Al-Ahli will be eager to avenge their 1-0 defeat to Al-Ittihad earlier in the season, making this match one to watch for all football fans in Saudi Arabia.
