KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: Fahad Al-Kahilan, Secretary of the Transitional Committee for Al-Jahra Club, which was established by the General Assembly on October 12, has confirmed that the committee will determine the date for the club's elections during its upcoming meeting. This decision aligns with the General Assembly's mandate to call for new elections.

Al-Kahilan stated that the Transitional Committee is currently awaiting approval from the Olympic Committee to officially circulate its members' names to the federations and begin its duties.

He emphasized that the Transitional Committee was formed by Article 45 of the club's bylaws, which permits General Assembly members to step in when the club lacks a managing board. This situation has persisted since the alleged endorsement on February 13, as the club has not had a functioning board since that date. Evidence of this includes the previous board's inability to register players, pay coaches and employees, or renew residency permits, prompting the Public Authority for Sports to form a financial committee to handle salary payments for club staff and players.

Al-Kahilan expressed his surprise at the delay in receiving a circular from the Olympic Committee that would allow the committee to reach out to the federations and commence its management of the club's affairs. He reiterated the integrity of all legal procedures undertaken by the electoral committee, from calling the extraordinary General Assembly meeting to the Assembly's decision to establish a Transitional Committee, all of which have been transparently communicated to various media outlets.
