KUWAIT CITY, April 21: Al-Jahra bounced back from its recent setback, securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Al-Sahel in the 14th round of the Zain First Division League.

In another match of the round, Al-Shabab and Burgan played to a 1-1 draw at Al-Sahel Stadium.

The win marked Al-Jahra's return to form after a 2-0 defeat to Burgan in the previous round. With the victory, Al-Jahra extended its lead at the top of the standings, now with 18 points, three ahead of both Al-Shabab and Burgan, who sit at 15 points each. Al-Sahel, currently in fifth place with 10 points, has seen its hopes of securing one of the two Premier League promotion spots dwindle significantly.

Fourth-placed Al-Sulaibikhat, with 14 points, had a bye this round but will face a crucial match against Al-Jahra next Tuesday in the 15th round. On the same day, Al-Sulaibikhat will also meet Al-Sahel and Burgan.
