KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: Kuwait Equestrian Club star Ali Jassim Al-Kharafi claimed the Grand Prize titles on both the first and second days of the 11th edition of the "Atyab Al-Marshoud" International Championship. This prestigious event, organized annually by Waleed Al-Marshoud, brings together top riders from Kuwait, the Gulf region, and Europe, showcasing intense competition among elite male and female equestrians vying for the coveted titles.
On the opening day, Al-Kharafi secured victory in the Grand Prize competition at a height of 140 cm, clocking an impressive 26.55 seconds. He was followed by Anaz Al-Anaz, Yara Al-Hunaidi, Abdullah Al-Awadhi, and Fawaz Rashid.
The second day saw Al-Kharafi repeat his triumph, winning the Grand Prize again at a height of 140 cm with a flawless time of 60.33 seconds, free of penalty points. He was trailed by Abrar Al-Musallam, Nick Channing, Fawaz Rashid, Hamad Al-Hajri, and Abdulrahman Al-Mudhahka. Additionally, Al-Kharafi clinched the minor prize in the 135 cm category, while Ghanima Al-Marzouq emerged victorious in the minor prize at 130 cm.
The champions were crowned by the tournament sponsor and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Waleed Sulaiman Al-Marshoud, alongside the Vice Chairman and Tournament Director, Marshoud Al-Marshood, and Hamad Al-Musaibih, Director of Corporate Relations at Zain Kuwait.
