DOHA, March 1: Kuwait’s equestrian star Hussein Al-Kharafi continued his impressive international form by securing first place and the gold medal in the opening round of the Longines Global Champions Tour for Show Jumping, which concluded in Qatar.
Al-Kharafi triumphed in the 120 cm category, outperforming Saudi Arabia’s Khaled Al-Hadi, who finished second, while Qatar’s Hussein Al-Kaabi claimed third place. The tournament’s deputy director, Omar Al-Buainain, crowned the winners and congratulated the champions on their achievements.
On the domestic front, the Kuwait Equestrian Federation announced that the third round of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation League Championship will take place on Friday, March 7, at Sahara Equestrian Club.
Notably, Ali Al-Kharafi won the title in the second round, while British rider Nick Channing claimed victory in the first round.
