KUWAIT CITY, April 24: Bader Tariq Al-Mailam, Chairman of Messilah Equestrian Club, praised the outstanding progress of Kuwaiti equestrianism, highlighting the consistent achievements of national riders who have proudly raised Kuwait’s flag at prestigious championships both locally and across Arab and European arenas.

Al-Mailam emphasized the club’s strategic commitment to elevating riders' technical performance through collaborations with elite trainers from Europe and the Arab world. He also stressed the importance of nurturing young talent in beginner categories to build a new generation of competitive riders.

He extended special congratulations to rider Jude Al-Hassan for securing qualification to the Qatar Championship finals, set for November, and for clinching third place in the 120cm category at the Future Riders Championship. Al-Hassan was also awarded the Ideal Rider Award, under the guidance of Polish coach Kamila Kudara.

Al-Mailam noted that the increasing number of local and international tournaments hosted in Kuwait significantly boosts the technical level of Kuwaiti riders and fuels their passion for the sport. He added that one of Kuwait’s key strengths lies in the abundance of equestrian clubs and training centers, fostering widespread participation in equestrian disciplines, particularly show jumping.

As part of this continued momentum, the seventh round of the local equestrian league kicks off today.
