'Al-Makash 3' set to open in early November

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 26: The Ministry of Social Affairs announced on Saturday that the official opening of the "Al-Makash 3" project is set for early November. This initiative is part of the National Cooperative Projects Committee's strategy, in collaboration with the Union of Cooperative Societies, aimed at providing the best services to visitors.

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi stated in a press release that the project includes numerous additions and improvements compared to previous versions. The number of restaurants and cafes has increased to over 30, along with an expansion of the popular cafe and additional public facilities to meet the needs of visitors.

Dr. Al-Ajmi noted that the project features 60 designated rest areas for families and plans to organize entertainment activities during official holidays to ensure an enjoyable experience for all attendees. He mentioned that large screens have been installed in a specific area to allow visitors to watch Gulf Cup events and matches as part of the efforts to enhance the services provided to Al-Makash visitors.

Furthermore, the project offers a special play area for children and a miniature zoo, allowing children and families to take souvenir photos in a safe and enjoyable environment. Entry will be free for children up to the age of four and for individuals with special needs, while the entry fees will be symbolic and affordable for all segments of society.

Dr. Al-Ajmi stated that operating hours during the week will be from 3 PM to 11 PM, extending until midnight on weekends. Reservations will be available electronically through the Makashat website, which will be launched soon, and via the EVENTAT application to facilitate visitors.

He emphasized that this project reflects the ministry's vision of providing innovative services that cater to various segments of society. Dr. Al-Ajmi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, for her ongoing support of national projects and her commitment to enhancing social services.
