KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works, announced on Monday that the implementation of the instructions outlined in Circular No. (8) of 2024, issued by the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT), has begun. These instructions are aimed at enhancing oversight, transparency, and improving the performance of government construction projects.
In a press statement, Dr. Al-Mashaan explained that the ministry has mandated all contracting companies to adopt the latest fingerprint attendance systems at all work sites for employees involved in government construction projects. The new system will record workers' attendance and departure times, ensuring better tracking of progress and accelerating the completion of development projects.
The decision is designed to improve the efficiency of project implementation, raise work standards, and ensure high-quality execution. Dr. Al-Mashaan clarified that the ministry, in collaboration with the companies handling government construction projects, will oversee the deployment of these systems to ensure that they benefit the public interest and increase transparency and oversight.
She emphasized that the ministry is committed to providing all necessary support and resources to ensure the success of this initiative, which aims to serve the nation's interests. Dr. Al-Mashaan expressed optimism about achieving positive results through the mandatory fingerprint attendance system for workers, and reiterated the ministry's ongoing efforts to improve performance and enhance transparency in all public works projects.
