KUWAIT CITY, Nov 16: In the ongoing fourth annual Grand Shooting Championship of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, sharpshooter Ali Al-Mutairi secured the title in the men's 10-meter air rifle competition. The event is taking place at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Ranges Complex. Saud Al-Subaie claimed the second position, with Abdullah Al-Harbi securing third place. In the women's category, Maryam Arzouki emerged victorious, followed by Retaj Al-Zayadi in second place and Rawan Al-Kandari in third.

Adnan Al-Ibrahim, the Treasurer of the Kuwait Shooting Club and Federation, confirmed that the tournament is progressing smoothly, thanks to the meticulous preparations undertaken by the Supreme Organizing Committee, working committees, and technical/administrative bodies. These efforts ensured the provision of all necessary equipment, ammunition, and field preparations, eliminating any obstacles to ensure adherence to the rules of the International Shooting Federation.

The championship, which commenced with Olympic shooting competitions, including skeet, dirt, shotgun, 10-meter air pistol, 25-meter air pistol, 50-meter rifle 3-position meter, and Olympic archery, is a crucial platform preparing shooters for upcoming international competitions.

Al-Ibrahim expressed gratitude to His Highness the Crown Prince for generously sponsoring the tournament that bears his name.

Mohammed Al-Fahd, the acting head of the Al-Khartoush Referees Committee and an international referee, highlighted that the championship adheres to the regulations of the International Shooting Federation. He emphasized that the His Highness the Crown Prince Championship serves as exceptional preparation for shooters, fostering strong competition and a commitment to achieving the best results.
