KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: The Criminal Court has released former MP Shuaib Al-Muwaizri on bail of KD 1,000 and decided to reopen the pleadings in the session scheduled for December 25, 2024 on charges of broadcasting false news about the internal situation in Kuwait. The accusation is based on several posts by Al-Muwaizri on his X account regarding the biometric procedure before and after his arrival in Kuwait. Al-Muwaizri’s defense team had submitted a request to the court to reopen the appeal and sought the release of their client on any guarantee the court deemed appropriate
