Kuwait City, Nov 2: In a thrilling clash at "Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium" Al-Nasr Club, came from behind to claim a significant 3-1 victory over Al-Arabi. This exciting match marked the beginning of the 7th round of the Zain Premier League for football. With this win, Al-Nasr increased their points tally to 10, while Al-Arabi remained at 14 points. As a result of this outcome, Al-Arabi decided to part ways with their German coach, Thomas Berdarich.

The game had a rather uneventful start, with both teams struggling to make a mark in the first half. Al-Nasr appeared more dangerous and focused, while Al-Arabi found it challenging to penetrate the solid defensive setup of the national coach Zaher Al-Adwani's team. Most of Al-Arabi's attacks were thwarted on the edge of the penalty area, offering little challenge to goalkeeper Khaled Al-Ajaji.

The first half did witness some individual efforts, notably between Al-Nasr's Colombian striker, Hansel Zapata, and Al-Arabi's Algerian defender, Sofiane Bouchard. There were attempts from Moroccan striker Hamza Khaba and Al-Nasr's Syrian defender, Amr Midani. However, a notable scoring opportunity was squandered by Algerian Ayman Lekjaa, as his shot missed the target.

The second half saw Al-Arabi take the initiative, pressuring "Al-Akhdar." However, goalkeeper Abdul Ghafour made crucial saves to deny Meshal Fawaz from opening the scoring on two occasions (46 and 51).

Against the run of play, Hamza Khaba surprised "Al-Anabi" with a superb shot that found the far left corner of Al-Ajaji's goal, breaking the deadlock (60). The excitement continued as Al-Nasr leveled the score when Ayman Lekjaa's header found the top right corner of Abdul Ghafour's net (65). "Al-Anabi" launched successive attacks to regain the lead, but the brilliance of captain Abdel Ghafour thwarted their efforts. In the dying minutes, Mamadou Thiam missed a chance to put "Green" ahead (85).

In stoppage time, the industrious Zapata secured the winning goal for Al-Nasr (90+3) and later added a third from a penalty kick (90+10). "Al-Anabi" emerged with a well-deserved victory, while referee Ali Al-Haddad issued red cards to Al-Arabi players Sofiane Bouchard and Hamza Khaba.
