KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30, (KUNA): Kuwaiti modern pentathlete Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi secured two silver medals at the Southeast Asia Laser-Run Championship, which concluded in the Philippines.

In a statement to KUNA on Wednesday, Nasser Al-Waleed, head of the Kuwait Modern Pentathlon Federation, revealed that the Kuwaiti team participated in an international training camp before the tournament, alongside athletes from ten Asian countries. This camp focused on enhancing skills in various disciplines, including fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, laser pistol shooting, and cross-country running.

Al-Otaibi competed in the under-17 category, while fellow athlete Nasser Al-Azmi represented Kuwait in the junior category. Al-Waleed highlighted that both athletes are currently preparing for the upcoming Arab Pentathlon Championship in January and the UIPM 2025 Pentathlon World Cup set to take place in Cairo in February.
