KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31:  Al-Qadisiyah Club clinched the General Swimming Championship title for the fifth consecutive time in the overall category, securing their dominance in the 2023 season. Simultaneously, Kazma Club claimed victory.

Al-Qadisiyah asserted their supremacy in the tournament organized by the Kuwait Aquatics Federation, featuring the participation of six clubs. They amassed a total of 587 points, securing the top spot, closely followed by Yarmouk Club with 583 points.

In the Al-Baraaem competitions, Kazma Club emerged triumphant with 226 points, outshining Al-Qadisiyah Club, who secured the second position with 204 points. Al Bahri Club secured the third spot with a total of 195 points.

Faisal Abu Al-Hassan, a Board of Directors member of the Water Sports Federation, expressed to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the tournament held at the Abdullah Al-Dakheel Olympic Pools Complex in Kazma Club showcased a high level of technical proficiency in most of its competitions. He credited this to the exceptional performance of the swimmers.

Abu Al-Hassan, who also served as the tournament director for the four-day event, noted that both phases witnessed increased participation compared to previous editions, fostering heightened competition among the participants. This, he emphasized, positively influences the teams' outcomes in international tournaments.

The closing day of the tournament witnessed the presence of prominent figures, including Hussein Al-Musallam, the President of the International Aquatics Federation, alongside members of the Kuwait Aquatics Federation and officials from the participating clubs.
