KUWAIT CITY ,Oct 26,:In the opening matches of the 61st Kuwaiti General Basketball League Championship for the 2023-2024 season, Al-Qadsia and Sulaibikhat emerged victorious in the basketball showdowns.

Al-Qadsia triumphed over their counterparts from Al-Arabi in a thrilling encounter held at the Basketball Association Hall within the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex. The final score of the game was 81-73, and it was a well-fought match, particularly notable for its defensive prowess.
In a second exciting match also conducted in the same hall, Al-Sulaibikhat secured a well-earned win against Al-Arabi, sealing a scoreline of 95-85.

This game showcased the outstanding performance of Sulaibikhat’s professional player, Colbert, who managed an impressive 42 points and 22 rebounds.

The 61st Kuwaiti General Basketball League Championship for the 2023-2024 season features the participation of nine clubs and is organized in a two-section merger system during its initial phase. Among the participating Kuwaiti clubs are the defending champions, Al-Nasr, Al-Tadamon, Kazma, and Al-Qurain.
