KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The 16th round of the Zain Premier League concludes today with a single matchup between Al-Nasr and Al-Qadsiy at 4:50 pm at Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium.

Al-Qadisiya, currently third in the league with 29 points, aims to solidify its position and widen the gap from fourth-placed Al-Salmiya (27 points). The team enters the match in high spirits after securing a spot in the Gulf Clubs Cup semi-finals. Montenegrin coach Zeljko Petrovic is expected to introduce young talents, giving them a chance to prove themselves and gain valuable experience for the future.

Following this round, Al-Qadsiya will shift focus to its upcoming Gulf Championship matches against Al-Nasr of the UAE, scheduled for March 4 and 11.

On the other hand, ninth-placed Al-Nasr (9 points) is determined to hold on to its slim chances of making the top-six league. Though the task seems nearly impossible, the team is eager to collect as many points as possible in the remaining classification league matches, which will serve as motivation for the upcoming relegation battle.

Al-Nasr enters the match with boosted morale after a dominant 4-0 victory over Al-Yarmouk in the previous round and now seeks to secure back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
