KUWAIT CITY, March 8: Al-Qadsiya and Kuwait Club secured dominant wins over Al-Yarmouk and Al-Tadamon, respectively, in the second round of the "Merge" Basketball League at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex.
Al-Asfar delivered a commanding performance, crushing Al-Yarmouk 137-51 to maintain its lead at the top of the standings with 20 points. Meanwhile, Al-Yarmouk remained in eighth place with 11 points.
In the second matchup, "Al-Abyad" overpowered "Al-Aneed" with a decisive 107-44 victory, lifting the "Sons of Kaifan" to second place with 17 points, while Al-Tadamon stayed at the bottom of the table with nine points.
Al-Qadsiya controlled the game from start to finish, dominating all four quarters (29-10, 65-20, 91-39, and 137-51). Saad Al-Rifai shined for "Al-Asfar," scoring 28 points in a stellar performance.
Similarly, Kuwait Club left no room for resistance in its matchup, securing a 63-point win over Al-Tadamon. Kuwait Club saw contributions from multiple players, including Hussein Al-Khabbaz, Abdulrahman Al-Juma, Imran Jawhar, Fahd Al-Dhafiri, Alexander Al-Ghais, Youssef Al-Hamdan, Musaed Al-Otaibi, and 17-year-old rising star Adam Asadullah. Turki Hamoud Al-Shammari also stood out, tallying 16 points, three rebounds, and five assists.
