KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: Al-Qadsiya board member Mohammed Marafi announced plans to file an official protest with the Gulf Football Association regarding the refereeing decisions in the team's recent match against Saudi Arabia's Al-Ettifaq in the Gulf Championship.

Al-Qadsiya suffered a 1-0 loss to Al-Ettifaq in the second round of Group Two, leaving it with just one point in the standings. The match's lone goal came from a penalty awarded by Emirati referee Ahmed Darwish, which was converted by Moussa Dembele.

Marafi also highlighted another controversial moment in Al-Qadsiya's opening match against Qatar's Al-Arabi, where a disputed equalizer was allowed despite the ball going out of play before the goal.

He emphasized that while Al-Qadisiyah aims to contribute to the success of the championship, the incorrect refereeing decisions have led to perceived injustice against the club. Marafi stated, "The penalty kick was unfair, and we are left with no choice but to file a protest to address the injustice facing Al-Qadsiyah."
