Ka’abi, Al-Mutairi, Al-Harbi and Al-Ajmi victorious KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: Late Sheikh Fahad Al-Salem Al-Sabah Shooting Tournament concluded its activities last Saturday with the crowning of winners in various categories of the male, female and amateur contests. The activities, which included several Olympics shooting competitions (Trap, Double-Trap, Skeet, Pistols, Rifles and Archeries) was held inside Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex (Mayadeen) in the presence of Sheikh Muhammad Fahad Saad Al-Abdullah and chairperson of the Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Federations Engineer Dueij Al-Otaibi. In a statement, Al-Otaibi considered the tournament among the important events the Shooting Club organizes annually, indicating this year’s tournament was graced by high-level shooters from Kuwait, UAE and Qatar, which gave a significant level of challenge for the participants. Al-Otaibi added the tournament formed an opportunity to prepare the shooters who are due to participate in HH the Amiri 7th International Shooting Grand Prix that will witness the participation of shooters from 40 Arab and foreign countries, affirming the club will continue to support the shooters and create opportunities for them to participate in regional and international tournaments, including Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games. Meanwhile, the tournament which continued for three days saw Mansour Al-Rashidi winning in skeet and Khaled Al-Ka’abi from the Shooting Federation of UAE winning the trap, while Saad Al- Mutairi topped the double-trap and Abdullah Al-Harbi won the rifl es category, and Saad Al-Ajmi the pistols. The 50 meters prone rifle was won by Khaled Abdul-Salaam, and the three-position 50 meters rifles prize went to Muhammad Adel, while Hassan Al-Mulla won the pistol category. In the remaining categories, archery went to Abdullah Malallah, and the Olympic archery went to Abdullah Taha, while Muhammad Suleiman won the amateur category. Meanwhile, Eman Al-Shumaa won the skeet and Shahad Al-Huwail topped the trap, while Amirah Al- Murdha won the pistol and Hiba Al- Razouqi the rifles in the women’s category.
