KUWAIT CITY, April 9: ‘Fun With Weaving’ is the title of the Ramadan charity exhibition for children, which was held by the Kuwaiti Sadu Association on Saturday, to display their handicrafts that they acquired within the program ‘Fun with Weaving’, part of the proceeds of which is allocated to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The exhibition, in which 10 children participated with many artistic products inlaid with the art of Sadu, is the result of the program launched by the Sadu Association 12 years ago to connect children with the art of weaving Sadu, the traditional heritage craft that characterizes life and culture of the Bedouin people, with its different colors that vary between black, white, brown, beige and red.

The general supervisor of the event, Sarah Al- Moussawi, said that the exhibition includes a number of activities, including free art workshops and a traditional photography corner, as well as displaying the works of the students of the “Fun With Weaving” program, which focuses on training children on various skills of textile art, and then giving them the opportunity to display their products.
