Players in action during the handball league

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: In the ninth round of the preliminary phase of the Handball League, two matches will take place this evening at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Halls Complex. The first match will feature Fahaheel facing Al-Tadamon at 5:00 pm, followed by the second match between Al-Sahel and Al-Yarmouk at 6:30 pm.

The four teams are far from the top spots in the standings. Fahaheel, currently in tenth place with 6 points, remains the only team among them with a slim chance of securing a spot in the top six, though this goal remains extremely challenging. Al-Tadamon, its opponent tonight, has only 1 point and is ranked twelfth, while Al-Sahel and Al-Yarmouk sit in the thirteenth and fourteenth positions, respectively, without any points.

The league follows a single-round format, with the top six teams advancing to the Premier League, which will be split into three divisions. The teams that qualify will carry over the points earned in the preliminary round. Meanwhile, teams ranked seventh to fourteenth will compete in two divisions to determine their final standings.
