KUWAIT CITY, July 4: The Salmiya Club delegation will depart today for Bosnia to establish an external camp that will run until July 21. This camp includes several friendly matches to prepare for the upcoming season.
Croatian coach Ante Micha will join the delegation tomorrow after concluding a special vacation. Additionally, the two new Moroccan professionals, Younes El-Najjari from Olympique Safi and Tunisian Imad Louati, are expected to join this evening. Al-Salmiya has planned a detailed schedule for the camp, featuring four friendly matches on July 14, 18, 22, and 23. The team will return home on July 25. The club has finalized its roster of professional players, which now includes Brazilian Alex Lima, Libyan Senussi Al-Hadi, and Guinean Sang-Pierre.
Furthermore, Al-Salmiya has bolstered its lineup with several local players: former Al-Arabi and Al-Qadisiya player Saif Al-Hashan, former Khaitan Club goalkeeper Ali Fadel, former Kazma Club goalkeeper Youssef Al-Kandari, former Al-Arabi Club player Issa Walid, former Al-Shabab Club player Ahmed Abu Maryoum, and former Al-Jahra Club player Muhannad Al-Mahamid.
Meanwhile, Al-Qadisiya will commence training tomorrow at the late Farouk Ibrahim Stadium in preparation for the new season. Star player Badr Al-Mutawa will miss the initial training sessions due to a private commitment.
As the reigning Amir Cup champion, Al-Qadisiya aims to be competitive in the upcoming season and adequately prepare for participation in the Gulf Club Championship. Al-Qadisiya has strengthened its squad with several new signings and has reached a preliminary agreement with Moroccan professional Ismail Khafi from Ittihad Tangier Club. If finalized, Khafi will become the second Moroccan player to join Al-Qadisiya this summer, following Al-Mahdi Barahma from Kuwait. The club has also added Athbi Shehab and Moaz Al-Dhafiri from Al-Salmiya.
The team's training will continue until July 12, after which they will depart for Turkey to conduct a training camp that includes three friendly matches.
