Tunisian forward Imad Louati.

KUWAIT CITY, July 2: Imad Louati joins Salmiya’s lineup of foreign players, which includes Moroccan Younes Al-Najjari, Brazilian Alex Lima, Libyan Senussi Al-Hadi, and Guinean Sang-Pierre, alongside the renewed contracts of Brazilian Sebastião de Freitas “Seba” and Ghanaian Abudu Issaka.

Born on October 11, 1993, Louati has previously played for CS Sfaxien and Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia, Jig Yang Greentown and Gyeongnam in China, Delkord in Sweden, and Vejle Boldklub in Denmark, before moving to Iraqi club Dohuk last January.

Additionally, Salmiya Club’s delegation will depart for Bosnia on Friday to set up an external camp lasting until July 21, which will include several friendly matches in preparation for the new season. The team will not conduct any training sessions before the camp, as requested by the technical staff led by Croatian coach Ante Misha. Coach Misha is scheduled to join the delegation on the same day, as he is currently on a personal vacation. The new Moroccan professionals, Younes El-Najjari from Olympique Safi and Tunisian Imad Louati, will also join the delegation.

Al Salmiya has bolstered its squad with several local players, including former Al-Arabi and Al-Qadisiya player Saif Al-Hashan, former Khaitan Club goalkeeper Ali Fadel, former Kazma Club goalkeeper Youssef Al-Kandari, former Al-Arabi Club player Issa Walid, former Al-Shabab Club player Ahmed Abu Maryoum, and former Al-Jahra Club player Muhannad Al-Mahamid. These new signings follow the departures of Athbi Shehab and Moaz Al-Dhafiri to Al-Qadisiya, the retirement of goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Mansour, and the transfer of goalkeeper Saud Al-Jana’i to Yarmouk.
