MANAMA, Jan 13, (KUNA): Abdulaziz Al-Sarraf secured the top spot in the Micro Max category during the fifth round of the Bahrain Rotax Max Challenge Championship. The event was held on the karting track at the Bahrain International Circuit, known as the "home of motorsport in the Middle East."

In a statement released recently, the circuit highlighted the achievements of Abdulaziz Al-Sarraf, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Khalifa, Nasser Nass, Vedant Menon, Abdullah Sajjad, and Mohammed Al-Mahroos, who claimed first place in their respective categories along the 414.14 km karting track during the championship weekend.

The Micro Max category witnessed intense competition, with Tariq Sufi showcasing dominance throughout the season. He led the trials, secured first place in the qualifiers, and initially crossed the finish line in first place after completing nine laps in the final race. However, a 10-second time penalty imposed by the judges relegated Sufi to second place, elevating Abdulaziz Al-Sarraf to first place.

Leo Saruhan rounded out the podium, finishing in third place alongside Al-Sarraf and Sufi.
