KUWAIT CITY, March 23: The Algerian Embassy commemorated the 63rd Victory Day, with the theme, “On the Path of Victory... Loyalty to the March of the Free”. A number of the Algerian community members attended the event. On this occasion, Algerian Ambassador Abdelkader Kasmi Al-Hassani praised the strong fraternal relations between Algeria and Kuwait; confirming the depth of the bonds of cooperation and solidarity between the two countries. He stressed the importance of the 63rd Victory Day, considering it a pivotal moment that embodies the Algerian people’s struggle for freedom and the restoration of national sovereignty.
He pointed out that the Evian Accords were the fruit of a heroic resistance led by the Algerian people with courage and tremendous sacrifices for more than seven years to end colonialism and achieve independence. He said this occasion is not just a military or political victory, as it is rather a victory for noble values like steadfastness, public will and adherence to the right to self-determination. He concluded his speech by extending his warmest greetings to the Kuwaiti people and their wise leadership, represented by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, on the occasion of the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan. He also wished Kuwait continuous progress and prosperity, and the Islamic nation a blessed month filled with goodness and peace.
