All banks closed on Dec 1 for GCC summit

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: The Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) announced on Monday that all local banks will be closed on Sunday, December 1, 2024, in observance of the 45th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, which will be hosted in Kuwait. In a press statement, the association clarified that this decision was made in coordination with the Central Bank of Kuwait. Banks are scheduled to resume regular operations on Monday, December 2. This closure reflects the significance of the GCC Summit as Kuwait prepares to welcome leaders from member states for discussions on regional cooperation and development.
