KUWAIT CITY, July 8: Starting today, the Ministry of Health has implemented a "fingerprint" attendance system for all employees in the ministry’s general office and central departments. This new system, applicable to both practicing professionals and those in public jobs, aims to record attendance and departure during official working hours.
The fingerprint system will also apply to employees assigned to overtime work. The decision, issued by Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi last June, mandates that employees clock in using the fingerprint system at three specific times during overtime: 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm. Employees can choose to work from 2 pm to 4 pm or extend their hours until 6 pm, according to their preference.
To ensure the system's implementation, the Ministry of Health has taken fingerprints of employees who had not previously been registered. Exemptions from this requirement are granted only to those with severe disabilities.
This initiative aims to enhance accountability and ensure accurate tracking of working hours for all ministry employees.
