Kuwait City, Jan 02: American International University (AIU) proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Richard Johnson as its new Chief Executive Officer. This pivotal move marks the beginning of a promising chapter in AIU’s prominent history, with the institution set to reach new pinnacles of success under Mr. Johnson’s visionary leadership. 

As we welcome Mr. Johnson into his new role, we also take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Jacqueline Shaw for her invaluable leadership as the founding CEO. Ms. Shaw has been a cornerstone of AIU’s growth and her contributions have been pivotal in shaping our institution’s success. Moving forward, Ms. Shaw will continue to play a critical role in the development of AIU as she shifts her focus to private projects. We are delighted to announce that she will remain a central figure in our journey as the Chair of the Board of Directors. In his tenure of two and a half years with AIU, Mr. Johnson has showcased an unparalleled dedication, rising through the ranks and taking on progressively senior roles. His journey at AIU stands as a testament to his exceptional leadership capabilities, acute business insight, and corporate finesse. These qualities align perfectly with AIU’s mission and strategic goals, making him the ideal leader to guide the institution forward. 

Mr. Johnson’s rich background in higher education adds another layer to his impressive profile. Prior to his association with AIU, he held significant dean positions at esteemed institutions, including Northwestern University, The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Business, and Harry S Truman College. A dedicated scholar, Mr. Johnson boasts an impressive academic background. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the prestigious Knox College and furthered his education with a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago. 

As AIU embraces this new leadership, we are also excitedly gearing up for the upcoming Spring Semester.
