KUWAIT CITY, July 10: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) field hospital in Gaza received a number of critically injured cases on Wednesday, despite not being fully operational or officially opened due to the state of emergency and threats from the Israeli occupation army, which targeted nearby hospitals. Dr. Anwar Al-Ghara, the hospital's medical director, told KUNA that the hospital received these cases following distress calls from several nearby hospitals in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, most of which were rendered inoperative after being targeted by the occupying Israeli forces.

He expressed hope that the hospital would alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza amidst their challenging conditions, including severe shortages of materials, medicines, medical equipment, and health supplies. Al-Ghara extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the State of Kuwait, its Amir, government, and people for their role in alleviating the suffering of Gazans. He also praised the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) for its continuous humanitarian aid efforts and its cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

Dr. Bashar Murad, Director of Health Programs at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, described the Kuwait Red Crescent Hospital as the best field hospital in Gaza in terms of equipment. He stressed that the hospital's role is crucial and necessary to complement the existing health system.

The Kuwait Red Crescent Field Hospital covers an area of 750 square meters and is equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices and equipment. It features operating rooms, intensive care units, patient reception areas, incubators for newborns, a radiology unit, a pharmacy, and a laboratory for medical analysis with necessary equipment for various examinations. This setup enhances its capacity to provide comprehensive treatment according to the highest international standards and protocols.
