KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: The graduation ceremony for the 50th batch of cadet officers at Ali Al-Sabah Military College was held Wednesday under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah -- the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The graduates consist of 409 officers; including five from the Kingdom of Bahrain, four from Yemen and 25 from the National Guard. Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army Major General Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Sheikha Dr. Shamail Ahmed Al-Khaled, Commander of Ali Al-Sabah Military College Brigadier General Fawaz Ayed Al-Musailem and other officials of the college warmly welcomed HH the Amir upon his arrival. Also present at the ceremony were His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation Dr. Adel Bouresli, senior State officials, family members of the graduates and other citizens.
After the national anthem and recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, Al-Musailem addressed the audience; expressing gratitude for HH the Amir’s patronage of the event. He highlighted the signifi- cance of the new generation of officers; emphasizing that the college’s educational and training programs go beyond military preparation, as they include instilling human values and developing leadership skills.
