KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, and his accompanying delegation at Bayan Palace on Monday, during the Duke’s official visit to Kuwait.

During the meeting, the Duke of Edinburgh presented His Highness the Amir with a written message from His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom. The message highlighted the long-standing and strong relations between Kuwait and the UK, emphasizing the deep bond between the two nations and the importance of further enhancing cooperation across various fields.

The message also included an invitation for His Highness the Amir to visit the United Kingdom. In response, His Highness Sheikh Mishal conveyed his warm greetings and appreciation to King Charles III, wishing him continued good health and prosperity for the people of the United Kingdom.

The meeting was attended by senior state officials.
