Annual egg crisis resurfaces, calls to boycott price manipulators

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: The country is once again facing a recurring crisis marked by a shortage of eggs available for sale. This annual issue continues to persist without a permanent solution. In response, Musab Al-Mulla, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Cooperative Societies, has called on all cooperative societies to cease dealings with egg supply companies that manipulate prices, taking advantage of the ongoing shortage.

Al-Mulla also urged the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Khalifa Al-Ajil, to take immediate action by issuing a decision to halt egg exports. This measure, he emphasized, is crucial to safeguarding the public interest, ensuring market stability, and meeting the basic needs of consumers.
