KUWAIT CITY, June 2: The Ministry of Higher Education has announced the commencement of registration for its 2024/2025 annual scholarship plan. Registration began yesterday at 6 pm via the Ministry’s official website and will continue until Tuesday, July 2, 2024, according to the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Lamia Al-Melhem.
Al-Melhem emphasized that the registration system will remain open even after the announcement of the general secondary school results in government schools. This arrangement ensures that high school students from both public and private education sectors have the opportunity to apply for the Ministry’s scholarship seats. She highlighted the direct link mechanism between the Ministry of Education’s website and the Ministry of Higher Education’s website, enabling secondary education students in public schools to register for the scholarship plan immediately after their results are released.
When preparing this year’s scholarship plan, the Ministry of Higher Education considered the labor market needs in both the government and private sectors. Al-Melhem noted that the plan includes several new specializations tailored to market demands, along with an expansion of scholarship opportunities across various fields in numerous countries. This approach aims to provide applicants with a diverse range of choices in terms of specialization and delegation country.
Al-Melhem urged students applying for the Ministry’s foreign scholarship plan to thoroughly review the offered specializations and the updated registration conditions on the Ministry’s website. She clarified that the selection for foreign scholarship seats is based on the accuracy of the data and documents submitted, rather than the speed of registration. Applicants must meet the specified conditions and ratios announced in the scholarship plan to be considered for selection.
