KUWAIT CITY, Aug 12: The Department of Public Morals Protection and Anti-Trafficking within the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation has successfully arrested an Arab taxi driver involved in smuggling female workers from their sponsors' residences.
The Security Media Department has revealed that the motive behind this smuggling operation was to exploit these workers by subjecting them to extended working hours and demanding illicit monetary payments and commissions in exchange for facilitating their smuggling.
The apprehended driver has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for the initiation of essential legal actions against him.
