KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, and Acting Chairman of the Civil Service Council Essa Al-Kandari issued a decision to replace Article 2 of the Civil Service Council’s resolution No. 22/2022 regarding the rules, conditions, and controls for entitlement and disbursement of cash allowance for the balance of periodic leaves during service.

Article 2 of the decision stipulates that the disbursement of the cash allowance for the balance of periodic leave during service requires the availability of controls and that the disbursement of the cash allowance during service is only for Kuwaitis.

The cash allowance must be disbursed only once every ten years. The results of the last three performance evaluations obtained by the employee before the date of issuance of the decision to disburse the cash allowance must be at least “Very good”.

The employee must have spent at least three years in the same government agency after being appointed there or transferred to it, prior to the date of issuance of the decision to disburse the cash allowance. The employee must not have been subjected to any disciplinary penalty unless it is erased according to the legally prescribed period before the decision to disburse the cash allowance is issued.
