Registration opens for new educational program for Kuwaiti youth

ASCC's 'Tech Next' initiative supports Kuwait Vision 2035 with a focus on youth and technology.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Center (ASCC) has announced the opening of registration for the 'Tech Next' program for youth aged 16 to 23. The program aims to enhance cultural and educational awareness and encourage participants to channel their energies and capabilities toward innovation and creativity.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday, the center highlighted that the Tech Next training program, developed in cooperation with Kuwait Technical College (k-tech), seeks to empower youth by providing a rich educational experience that uncovers their creative abilities and develops their technological skills in a supportive environment.

The Tech Next program will commence on Sunday, August 18, and will run for two weeks. It will include workshops led by certified trainers and specialists from Kuwait Technical College and Kuwait Telecommunications Company (stc). These workshops will cover areas such as programming, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, offering participants a comprehensive and valuable educational experience.

The program reflects a commitment to supporting and developing youth skills, guiding them to use technology in ways that benefit society. This initiative aligns with Kuwait's development vision, which aims to achieve sustainable development and a knowledge economy by enhancing youth capabilities and providing them with essential skills and knowledge.

Interested individuals are encouraged to register and participate in this pioneering program, which represents a significant step toward Kuwait Vision 2035 by enhancing human capital and developing technological skills among the new generation.

According to the statement, Noura Al-Osaimi, Head of the K-Tech Institute for Private Training at Kuwait Technical College, emphasized the importance of encouraging youth to participate in this and other educational programs in technology. Al-Osaimi stated that Kuwait Technical College aims to promote a culture of science and technical knowledge among the younger generation, particularly in technology fields, to keep pace with advancements and benefit society.
