MANAMA, Nov 4: During the recent General Assembly of the Asian Handball Federation, it was decided to extend the term of Badr Al-Dhiyab, the Vice President of the International Handball Federation for the Asian continent, until 2025, aligning with the date of the AFC elections.
In another context, the Kuwaiti handball team continued their rigorous daily training at their current camp in the Bahraini capital, Manama.

This preparation is in anticipation of their participation in the World Handball Club Championship, the “Saudi Super Globe 2023,” scheduled to take place in Dammam from November 5 to 12. The tournament draw has already been conducted, and the Kuwaiti team, known as the “Whites,” found themselves placed in the second group.

They are set to face Fernando of Argentina on the 7th of this month, followed by a match against Berlin of Germany on the 9th. The competition consists of four groups, with the top team from each group earning a spot in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Al-Qadsia Club’s handball team is actively training at their current camp in the Qatari capital, Doha. Their focus is on hosting and participating in the 26th Asian Club Championship, set to be held at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex from the 17th to the 27th of this month.

The tournament’s draw has placed the “Yellow” club within the second group, alongside teams such as the Indian Sai, the Qatari Al-Arabi, the Iraqi Army, the Lebanese Sidon Youth, and the Emirati Sharjah. The first group comprises the second Kuwaiti representative, the “Kuwait” team, along with the Bahraini star, the Qatari Al-Gharafa, the Saudi Gulf, the Palestinian Al-Salah, and the Indian Golden Eagle.”
