KUWAIT CITY, May 26: An immigration department employee at Kuwait airport was referred to investigation for helping an Iraqi expat to board the flight on a forged passport. The plane was stopped and the Iraqi expat was arrested.

The airport security discovered the forgery minutes after the Iraqi boarded the plane after his passport was stamped exit by one of the immigration department employees. He was taken to the investigation authorities where he confessed to one more similar case who happened to also be an Iraqi national. The case was registered against the immigration employee while Iraqi national has been referred to the competent authorities to take legal action. Investigation is underway on other immigration employees who may have helped passengers exit illegally in similar way.
