KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: The Supreme Organizing Committee of the "Atyab Al-Marshoud" International Show Jumping Championship, organized annually by Waleed Al-Marshoud, has finalized preparations to host the upcoming event on January 8 at the Kuwait Equestrian Center in Subhan. The championship will feature riders representing all local clubs and will be held under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation.

In previous editions, notable riders claimed the title: Ali Al-Kharafi in the tenth edition, Abdulrahman Al-Fazaa in the ninth, and Abdullah Al-Awadhi in the eighth.

Waleed Suleiman Al-Marshoud, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee and Director of the Championship highlighted the significance of this year's event, stating, “The current edition of the championship is marked by significant international participation. It has become a staple in Kuwait's annual equestrian calendar.” He also praised the private sector's role in supporting local championships, inspiring riders to compete fiercely for top positions.

Al-Marshoud emphasized the championship’s reputation as an international competition that attracts riders eager to participate. He expressed gratitude to the Kuwait Equestrian Federation and the management of the Kuwait Equestrian Center for their continued efforts in promoting the sport. He noted the growing popularity of equestrianism, particularly among younger age groups.

This year's championship coincides with the centenary celebration of Atyab Al-Marshoud, founded in 1925, adding historical significance to the prestigious event.
