KUWAIT CITY, April 2: A Kuwaiti citizen was compelled to confess to insulting a customer service representative after being shown a recorded clip of him using obscene language. The insult was allegedly triggered by the representative calling the citizen’s wife at an inappropriate time. According to a source, the customer service representative, accompanied by the company’s lawyer, reported that the woman received a call from the call center of the company, informing her about the promotional offers.
After presenting the offers, the representative ended the call politely with the phrase, “Thank you for your time.” At that point, a man suddenly picked up the phone and began insulting the employee without provocation, the source added. As per the request of the investigator at Shamiya Police Station, the Shamiya Investigation Department took over the case; leading to the identification and arrest of the defendant.
The woman, the phone line owner, was contacted and she voluntarily came forward. Upon being questioned about the incident, she confirmed that her husband picked up the phone and insulted the employee. When confronted with the allegation, the husband admitted to the offense
