KUWAIT CITY, Sep 6: Anti-narcotics officers from the Criminal Security Sector successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle approximately one and a half kilos of pure heroin into the country. The individual responsible for transporting the drugs on behalf of an international drug smuggling network was arrested at the air cargo port, in collaboration with the General Administration of Customs.
The Ministry of Interior announced on its “X” account that during interrogation, the suspect confessed that the drugs belonged to him and his partners abroad, intended for trafficking. The accused and the confiscated substances were handed over to the Drug Prosecution for further legal proceedings.
