Kuwait Plans to Unveil More Nationality Forgeries in Upcoming Phase
Kuwaiti nationality fraud exposures to rise, supported by DNA and witness evidence

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: The Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality has not convened for the second consecutive week, breaking its usual schedule of meetings every Thursday. This delay is attributed to the travel of Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who is currently on an Arab-Gulf tour that includes visits to Egypt, Jordan, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. Last week, the committee did not meet due to the Isra and Mi'raj holiday. However, the absence of meetings does not suggest that the authorities and relevant agencies are slowing their efforts. They continue to diligently examine cases, investigate suspicions, and verify information in order to uncover instances of forgery and violations of the Kuwaiti national identity.

A private source has revealed that the upcoming period is expected to see an increase in the number of forgeries exposed in citizenship files. These discoveries will be supported by concrete evidence, including DNA tests, witness statements, and confessions from family members, such as brothers or cousins, who have falsely been linked to individuals added to these files without proper scrutiny.

The source commended the efforts of some individuals who have come forward to report cases of forgery involving their fathers or grandfathers, seeking to remove any non-legitimate individuals from their family records. The source reiterated the importance of reporting similar instances of forgery to prevent any future criminal liability.
