KUWAIT CITY, March 19: Assistant Undersecretary for Residency Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Talal Marafie stressed the need for people to avoid employing domestic labor who work on hourly basis because such a labor system is against the labor law, and also such workers contribute to the spread of coronavirus, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press release issued by General Department for Public Relations and Security Media, he said these workers are usually reported as absconding by their legal sponsors.

Marafie warned people of Kuwait against dealing with such type of workers, as they could carry and spread coronavirus because they may mingle with a high number of people, adding that they are also violators of the labor law.

He urged the public to cooperate with the security authorities, abide by the official directives, and support the government’s efforts in fighting coronavirus as well as report about such workers.
