Basil Al-Sabah Club racers take podium spots in Qatar Sand Drag race.
DOHA, November 16: Basil Al-Sabah Racing Club’s competitors achieved advanced positions in the first round of the Qatar Sand Drag Race Championship on Thursday. Competitor Dhari Al-Ansari won second place, while Fahad Dashti secured third place in the Modified Superstock category. Hashem bin Hassan also took third place in the Modified Pro category. In the open category, competitor Abdullah Al-Hazaa earned third place.
Director of Basil Al-Sabah Racing Club, Saif Al-Mutairi, expressed his happiness with the club’s competitors’ performance in securing advanced positions in the championship, noting that the club will participate tomorrow in the Sand Drag category. Al-Mutairi also thanked the organizers for their excellent organization, reception, and hospitality, wishing all competitors success in achieving positive results in various competitions.
The first round of the Qatar Sand Drag Race Championship kicked off today, Thursday, and the competitions will continue until April 2025, with wide participation from car and motorcycle racing champions.
