KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: The Friendship and Peace Stadium hosts the highly anticipated clash between Kuwait Club and Al-Arabi today at 1:30 pm, marking the summit of the sixth round of the Zain Premier League.

The round will continue tomorrow with two exciting matches: Al-Qadsiya will face Al-Tadamon at Mohammed Al-Hamad Stadium, while Al-Fahaheel will go head-to-head against Kazma at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium. The round will conclude the day after tomorrow with two additional matches: Al-Nasr will meet Al-Yarmouk at Thamer Stadium, followed by Khaitan taking on Al-Salmiya at Nasser Al-Osaimi Stadium.

Fans are eagerly looking forward to the matchup between the league leaders, Kuwait and Al-Arabi, who have shared the top spot since the first round, both boasting perfect records so far. The “Whites,” currently leading on goal difference, aim to secure their victories and solidify their position at the top before heading to Jordan for their AFC Champions League 2 match against Al-Hussein Irbid.

Kuwait Club excels in multiple aspects, having the league’s strongest attack with 17 goals scored and the best defense, conceding only twice. On the other hand, Al-Arabi is determined to break its partnership with Kuwait Club and claim the top spot outright. Despite facing instability due to recent issues, including Sultan Al-Enezi’s controversial move to Dhofar in Oman and the absence of Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the “Greens” are progressing positively in the tournament. In their last league encounter last May, Kuwait Club defeated Al-Arabi 3-0.

In tomorrow’s matches, Al-Qadsiya will be aiming for victory after its recent struggles, having garnered only four points and sitting in sixth place. The team seeks to appease dissatisfied fans and hopes to turn the tide in tonight’s match against Al-Tadamon, who currently sit fourth with seven points.

Meanwhile, in the second match, Kazma, in seventh place with four points, is also looking for a win to escape the danger zone and secure its second victory, while Al-Fahaheel, fifth with seven points, aims to capitalize on Kazma’s circumstances and achieve their third win of the tournament.
